Italian media have revealed when, where, and how it will be possible to purchase tickets for the upcoming Milan derby Champions League semifinal tie between Inter and AC Milan.

Today鈥檚 print edition of Milan-based newspaper Gazzetta dello Sport, via FCInterNews, report that the tickets for the second leg of the tie are set to go on sale online shortly after next Wednesday鈥檚 Coppa Italia semifinal second leg against Juventus at the San Siro.

Anticipation could hardly be any higher for the two-legged tie between Inter and Milan in the Champions League semifinals, the stage of the competition in which the city rivals faced off during the 2002-03 season.

Accordingly, there will be a very high demand for tickets to both legs, and even the more than 75,000 seats at the San Siro will certainly be filled to the brim on both evenings.

Tickets will go on sale for the second leg of the tie, which is nominally an Inter home fixture and therefore will see the Nerazzurri in charge of selling tickets, through the club鈥檚 website.

This will be shortly after next week鈥檚 Coppa Italia match between Inter and Juventus at the stadium.

First, pre-sale tickets will be made available to Nerazzurri season ticket holders, and then tickets will be available to Inter Club members or holders of a Siamo Noi card provided that they had already signed up by April 18 when the Nerazzurri鈥檚 place in the semifinals was booked.

Then, general admission tickets will be made available online.

As the Gazzetta notes, for Inter this comes at a point in the season where a sold-out San Siro or close to it has become a regular occurrence, even with the team鈥檚 form having slumped badly in Serie A.

Even in league matches against teams lower down in the table, the San Siro has always boasted a large crowd, whilst the Coppa Italia match against the Bianconeri and then the subsequent league fixture against Lazio are also anticipated to be sold out.

As the Gazzetta highlights, despite all of the uncertainty for the future that Inter are facing on a financial level, the gate receipts from the San Siro have been a major source of revenues this season and will be right until the end.
